Karl
"Jackson" Koleck BIO

I was born
on September 28, 1988 and raised in Franklin Park, PA, about 20
minutes north of Pittsburgh. I recently graduated from the North
Allegheny School District in 2007. Currently I am in Oakland attending
the University of Pittsburgh and studying Mechanical Engineering.
I've always had a passion for working with my hands and designing
things, and I hope I can make a career out of it.
I started
playing paintball in the winter of 2002-2003 with a Kingman Spyder.
I soon after upgraded to a Tippmann A-5. I had the A-5 for 2 years
before I sold it to buy a Palmers Pursuit Shop Blazer, which I
have had for almost 3 years now. I've started to build up a small
collection of markers including a Tippmann Pro/Carbine, two Spyders,
a Brass Eagle Tiger Shark, and an old Sheridan Equalizer (good
for you if you've even heard of this one!). True to my mechanical
inclination, I like to tweak and tune my markers. I started playing
paintball in the woods at my cousin's church and never played
on a real commercial field until 2004. I like to stay true to
my roots and you'll find me almost exclusively in the woods when
I play. Don't get me wrong, I like a good game of speedball every
once in a while, but I'd rather be amongst the trees.
I started
working for Mission Masters in 2007. Throughout the 2006 season,
Dean "CUDA" Allen had been looking for a mission designer
or two to help with the planning of the events. I had submitted
a mission idea to him in November of 2006, and by February of
2007, I was part of the Mission Masters crew along with B.T. Robertson.
My original idea that I proposed morphed into the WWII: Battles
of the Pacific event held in the 2007 season. The entire season
was a big learning process and by the final few events I had a
good understanding of what makes a good mission game. I'm looking
forward to the 2008 season. It's shaping up to be another awesome
year of Mission Masters Games
