Based
upon their first Mission Paintball Game experience
WWII Battles of the Pacific, July 14, 2007
For those
that could not get into ION, for those that did not want to travel
to Skirmish, or for those of you that were looking for something
different and don't mind the travel. I found a great run game
at Three Rivers Paintball, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
First of all
I can not say enough nice things about the staff. From registration
which ran like clock work, to air refills, to repairs and supplies
the Three Rivers staff were professional and a pleasure to work
with. The fees were not off the charts either so it made the game
affordable to play. The Three Rivers Refs were on top of things
and fair. There were also plenty of them for each senerio which
is always nice. They even had a caterer come out to make bugers
hot dogs, and sandwiches.
The Mission
Masters staff also was wonderful. They kept everyone informed
about the missions. They created 8 missions with plenty of props
and action. Each one of the scenerios used a paticular field area
and high lighted the fields features.
The facilites
a Three Rivers is well contructed. They unvailed a new fort this
weekend and it got plenty of use. I am from the flat lands of
Jersey and I can tell you that the hills that they have their
fields on makes the games intersting. They have a nice mix of
cleared areas and underbrush. At base camp there were plenty of
tables to set up on and plenty of shade to keep cool even during
the hottest part of the day.
Even the players
were great. They were great to talk to. They played fair, no real
over shooting. There weren't any real problems with players shooting
over the 280 mark. There were very few disputes, which were quickly
handled by the refs. It made the game a pleasure to be part of.
Mission Masters
had special awards made up for special recognition of valor. The
three awards went to three well deserved players. One player caused
a surrender of 8 or 10 guys at one time, by himself. One player
went up hill, against half a team, through dense smoke, and made
it all the way up to the fort to place the American Flag before
he was bombarded at reletively close range and taken out of the
game. The last player, a kid of about 12, slid into a nest of
players from the other team taking them out as easily as if he
were sliding into home base.
So, if you
are looking for well run games, great facilities, and just nice
people to play with, check out the next couple of games at Three
Rivers by Mission Masters. I am sure that you will be pleasanly
surpised. You can check out the pictures at Fireworks
